3 yards. 3 YARDS! That’s how close Veronicca came to getting her first Fantasy win last weekend. Instead, game script skewed away from her RBs and she ended the night half a point behind Joe. Meanwhile, Blake’s K came through with just enough for a win.

20% of our Fantasy regular season has transitioned from schedule to statistics. Zac is king until someone can prove otherwise.

This weekend, Piney Creek takes on Arlington with Jean vs Blake and Joe vs Kayla. Meanwhile, the other houses are divided with Zac vs Chelsea and Veronicca vs Josh.

Here’s where things stand heading into W4:

1) ZAC – Randy Savage
Record
: 3-0
League Rank: 1st (no change)
JB+: Tied 2nd (+3.67) – previously 3rd (+3.00)
What we’re seeing: with a starting lineup that averages 163 points per game, Zac is taking “set it and forget it” to a comical level. He has the best D/ST, the second best WR & QB, the 3rd best QB, the 4th best RB & TE, and the 5th best K. Zac is in a league of his own.
Next: vs Chelsea (2-1)

(2) BLAKE – Jordan’s Love
Record: 2-1
League Rank: 2nd (previously 4th)
JB+: Tied 2nd (+3.67) – previously 2nd (+3.50)
What we’re seeing
: can Blake see the matrix? Anticipating big games by backup players is his specialty, with the second highest number of bench activations in our League. Maybe he sees the game on a different level, or maybe he’s just lucky. Doesn’t really matter if he keeps winning.
Next: vs Jean (2-1)

(3) CHELSEA – Team NFChel
Record: 2-1
League Rank: 3rd (previously 2nd)
JB+: 1st (+6.00) – previously 1st (+8.50)
What we’re seeing: less than 1 point away from being 3-0, Chelsea’s Cinderella story basically continued through another week. She faces a tough matchup against Zac’s high altitude bombers this weekend and might find herself in need of some more help from the waivers.
Next: vs Zac (3-0)

(4) JEAN – Planet earth Clueless
Record: 2-1
League Rank: 4th (previously 3rd)
JB+: 4th (+2.67) – previously 3rd (+3.00)
What we’re seeing
: even on a bad week, her roster inspires envy. Two thirds of her players average double-digit Fantasy performances. Jean is a real contender, yall.
Next: vs Blake (2-1)

(5) JOE – Terra Firma DaBears
Record: 1-2
League Rank: 5th (previously 6th)
JB+: 5th (+2.00) – previously 6th (+1.50)
What we’re seeing
: with more WR talent that he can use, Joe has early foundations for a strong playoff run. If Joe can figure out his RB situation, even Zac might be wary of this matchup.
Next: vs Kayla (1-2)

(6) JOSH – Commissioner of Chaos
Record: 1-2
League Rank: 6th (previously 8th)
JB+: Tied 6th (+1.00) – previously 5th (+2.50)
What we’re seeing
: injuries forced him to desperation on the waivers and the trading floor, but last weekend provided a glimmer of hope. It might only have been temporary, though, as Josh’s lineup stares down stifling defenses in W4. Is Josh ballsy enough to bench his starters in favor of early-rising sleepers with better defensive matchups?
Next: vs Veronicca (0-3)

(7) KAYLA – Winnersville Prancing Pandas
Record: 1-2
League Rank: 7th (previously 5th)
JB+: Tied 6th (+1.00) – previously 6th (+1.50)
What we’re seeing
: a promising start has taken a concerning turn these past few weeks, with star players on the sidelines without pads come Sunday. Though not time to panic quite yet, Kayla has a tough few weeks ahead of her with Joe, Zac, & Jean all up next.
Next: vs Joe (1-2)

(8) VERONICCA – Team NachoTaco
Record: 0-3
League Rank: 8th (previously 7th)
JB+: 8th (-0.67) – previously 6th (+1.00)
What we’re seeing
: Veronicca lost the last 2 games by a combined total of 1.38 points; 14 more yards and she would be 2-1 instead of 0-3. Though her record puts her in last place in the league, this is not the full story. She has the 4th most points scored of any team (higher than Jean, Joe, Josh, & Kayla) and has had the 3rd most points scored against her. This can’t go on forever. Things always regress to the mean, and Veronicca will soon find herself in the middle of the pack.
Next: vs Josh (1-2)

What is “JB+”? It’s a strength index score created by your Commish to provide a measurement of how well each manager has done compared to the rest of the field. Trying it out, not sure if it will be meaningful. Click here to check out more about what it means.
