I’ll have more thoughts midweek, but I wanted to send a status update before MNF. This will be a quick one.

Two matchups are already over. Veronicca beat Jean, and Zac beat Joe. Both looked like runaways midday today, but got a lot closer as SNF drew to close. Congrats to V & Z on starting 1-0.

The other two matchups could reverse course, and it all comes down to one question: how much does Aaron Rodgers have left in the tank?

Kayla is leading Chelsea by ONE TENTH of a point going into MNF. Chelsea’s players have all played, but Kayla has the SF D/ST left to play. As long as the Niners defense avoids a negative score, Kayla wins.

Blake leads Josh by 15. Josh has Wilson and Blake has McCaffrey and the NYJ D/ST. McCaffrey isn’t 100% and defenses tend to struggle against Shanahan, but Blake will put up few more points. Wilson would need a 25-30 point night (or better) in order to possibly claw back a win for Josh.

If Aaron is his old self, that’s good for Wilson and bad for McCaffrey (lower volume due to Time of Possession) and the Niners D. In that scenario, Chelsea and Josh win.

If Aaron starts to show his age or get injured (did the Jets do enough about that O Line?), that’s good for McCaffrey and the Niners D and bad for Wilson. In that more likely scenario, Kayla and Blake win.

All eyes on Aaron tomorrow.
