With one more week until the playoffs, there are still 5 teams vying for 4 bracket perches. Jean and V are locked into their seeds, so it comes down to the race between Blake, Chelsea, and Zac for the final 2 positions.

Two W14 matchups with playoff implications:
- Zac vs Blake: a battleship and a heavy cruiser meeting on the high seas with the intention of inflicting as many blows as possible. If Zac wins, he’s in the playoffs.
- Joe vs Chelsea: two teams arriving broken to Week 14, ready to empty the last of their reserves. Will Chelsea’s miracle season end with a loss to Joe? If she can somehow pull off the win, then she’s in.

#8 – Kayla (Winnersville Prancing Pandas)
Current Record: 5-8
What’s Happening on the Roster: Another week, another QB injury. Kayla’s saga of woe just never seems round the corner. In real life, Kayla is the toughest person in our league, but it’s still sad to see her taking punch after punch from Fate. Stop it, Fate.
Week 14 Preview: vs 8-5 Veronicca
Week 14 Prediction: Kayla is already eliminated from the playoffs, and it’s difficult to imagine that she can serve Veronicca a loss. If she does lose, Kayla will most likely be tied with Joe at the bottom of the standings. Her H2H disadvantage will land her at #8.
Playoff Round 1 Predicted Matchup: Kayla will face off against an ebbing Chelsea, giving her a realistic shot at the Consolation Bracket championship.
#7 – Joe (Terra Firma DaBears)
Current Record: 4-9
What’s Happening on the Roster: Each week, the human body’s magical ability to heal itself makes Joe’s roster more and more formidable. Now that Justin Jefferson is back, Joe’s WR room is poised to return to its former glory. His roster has slowly risen from bad to good, just in time for the postseason.
Week 14 Preview: vs 7-6 Chelsea
Week 14 Prediction: Joe has inched closer and closer to a win, and he’ll finally get one this weekend against Chelsea’s knee-capped roster. Not only will this spoil her playoff chances, it will boost Joe from the bottom of the rankings to end the season at #7.
Playoff Round 1 Predicted Matchup: With a W14 win, Joe will be facing off against Josh in the Consolation Bracket.
#6 – Josh (Commissioner of Chaos)
Current Record: 6-7
What’s Happening on the Roster: It’s not bad, honestly. Most weeks, a 144 point box score would be more than enough for a win. If it weren’t for Zac running up the score, Josh might have a shot at the postseason. As it stands, though, Josh is now well-positioned to be a Consolation Bracket powerhouse.
Week 14 Preview: vs 9-4 Jean
Week 14 Prediction: Jean will sleepwalk to a win this weekend, cementing Josh’s place at #6.
Playoff Round 1 Predicted Matchup: Josh’s playoff chances are 99.9% dead. What would need to happen for him to make it in? Josh would need 3 things to happen: Josh beats Jean AND Blake loses to Zac AND Josh outscores Blake by 100 points. I’m calling it–Josh is officially out. He’ll face off against Joe in W15-16.
#5 – Chelsea (Team NFChel)
Current Record: 7-6
What’s Happening on the Roster: Oh this one is heartbreaking. Chelsea’s Cinderella Season of Disney Channel Magic took a right hook to the jaw last weekend, with 3 of her starters receiving injuries mid-game. She is in for a rough few weeks as she waits for important ankles and hamstrings to recover.
Week 14 Preview: vs 4-9 Joe
Week 14 Prediction: The waivers won’t be enough to rescue Chelsea from a W14 loss, bringing her to 7-7. To make matters worse, Blake leaped past Chelsea in the Points For column last week. She now only holds a tie-breaker advantage over Josh, which isn’t doing her much good. Chelsea’s unbelievable ride will end at with her just outside the playoffs at #5.
Playoff Round 1 Predicted Matchup: Chelsea will charge into the post-season as the Consolation Bracket favorite, squaring off against a #8 Kayla.
#4 – Zac (Randy Savage)
Current Record: 6-7
What’s Happening on the Roster: Zac’s roster is filthy. He scored 170.7 points last weekend; with foresight, he could have elevated an extra 30 off the bench for potential 200pt top score. Zac is peaking at just the right time. Don’t call it a comeback!
Week 14 Preview: vs 7-6 Blake. This one is a great matchup. Two teams that are mounting a late-season surge in a matchup with consequences. If Zac wins, he’s in. If Blake wins, he will also preserve the 4th seed for Chelsea.
Week 14 Prediction: Zac has too many answers at too many positions. Blake has a solid team, but Zac will get the revenge win that propels him into the playoffs at #4. His record and H2H tie with Chelsea will allow the Points For advantage to win the day.
Playoff Round 1 Predicted Matchup: Zac will face off against Jean. Matchup. of the. Century.
#3 – Veronicca (Team NachoTaco)
Current Record: 8-5
What’s Happening on the Roster: Veronicca’s bench could outscore most of our league’s starting rosters. Nonstop hits at every position and they’re all healthy now. It’s not all great, though; she still has to make the tough choice between which MVP frontrunner she wants to start each week.
Week 14 Preview: vs 5-8 Kayla
Week 14 Prediction: Veronicca is set for another monster week, and is almost certainly going to pull off the win against Kayla. Already guaranteed a playoff spot, she will end her regular season one win behind Jean to claim the #3 seed.
Playoff Round 1 Predicted Matchup: Veronicca will face off against a #2 Blake in the first round, putting his recent surge to the 2-week test.
#2 – Blake (Jordan’s Love)
Current Record: 7-6
What’s Happening on the Roster: Blake’s roster zigs. Blake’s roster zags. It cuts. It jukes. Twists. Turns. Blake has reliable production at all positions and bench strength to back it up. His playoff chances are strong, especially following a monster 150.5 point Week 13.
Week 14 Preview: vs 6-7 Zac
Week 14 Prediction: Despite his strengths, Blake will drown in Zac’s point tsunami. It’s ok though: even with a loss, Blake is still favored for the #2 seed.
Playoff Round 1 Predicted Matchup: Blake will face a reckoning against Veronicca in the first round of the playoffs. Can he pull together 2 weeks worth of magic to upset one of the highest-scoring teams in the league?
#1 – Jean (Planet earth Clueless)
Current Record: 9-4
What’s Happening on the Roster: a few BYEs and a couple minor injuries, but no real concerns for Jean. Even on a down week, Jean is projected to score 130+ points. For the second year in a row, she has us wondering how “clueless” she really is…
Week 14 Preview: vs 6-7 Josh
Week 14 Prediction: Even with a loss, Jean has the H2H and Points For advantage needed to secure the #1 seed. Not that it’ll matter–she’s facing off against Josh, who is strong but not strong enough. Jean is so good that she makes us ask: why even play the game?
Playoff Round 1 Predicted Matchup: Jean will have her hands full against Macho Man Points-Machine Zac, and will need to sustain her reliable performances to pull off a win. This will be a real fun one–a PAC12-style offensive showing!

- For the Championship:

*How do the playoffs work?
- The playoffs consist of 4 spots:
- Each division will send its top team to the playoffs. These will be the #1 and #2 seeds in the playoff bracket.
- Next, there are two at-large playoff bids for the #3 and #4 seeds. All remaining players who are not division champions are eligible for these playoff seeds.
- Seeding is determined by overall win-loss record. Tiebreakers then follow a pattern of head-to-head (H2H) records, Total Points For, Total Points Against, and finally coin flip.
- Interestingly, every remaining regular season matchup will be East vs West. Wins in one division will happen at the expense of losses in the other, which will be an important factor while making seed predictions.
